HOW THE SEASON RUNS

One season, three stages. Everyone starts in the same place: a 5K on a treadmill.

Qualifying
23 Oct

Run a 5K, get on the leaderboard

Qualifying runs from 23 October 2026 to 24 January 2027. Your 5K goes on the global leaderboard, and you can run it again to improve your time.

Regionals
Jan

The top quarter go through

The fastest 25% from qualifying race again at regional level, continent by continent, in January and February 2027.

World Finals
20 Mar

The Technogym Village, Cesena

The finals are in Italy on 20 and 21 March 2027. There's a US$100,000 prize pool, split equally between men and women, and the fastest man and woman overall earn wild cards to the World Athletics Road Running Championships.

HOW TO RUN IT HERE

Scan the code

Scan the QR code with the Technogym App and fill in your profile. Registration is free.

Set your pace

Choose a starting pace and the treadmill sets the speed.

Run your 5K

Finish, and see where you rank worldwide and in your age group.

RUN X questions

No. There are seven age groups for men and women, from 18 to 23 up to 75 and over, and you're ranked in yours as well as overall. You need to be 18 or over.

Registration is free. You need a membership to use the treadmills here. See the memberships.

Yes. RUN X has an Open Leaderboard that runs all year, so you can train on the same treadmills and see where you would rank.

Your age on 31 December of the competition year decides it.
